How to Remove AdSense PSAs from Your Website?

PSA stands for Public Service Ads which mean you will get nothing if peoples click on those ads. These ads will appear on your site if there is not enough contents or adsense crawler has not yet crawled to your website pages.

Beside you can fill the ads with solid color, you can remove the PSAs with this following code:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd ">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title></title>
<script src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/google_adsense_script.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
</head>
<body style="background-color: transparent;">
</body>
</html>
  1. Copy the code above and save it as a html file. Eg: adsense_script.html.
  2. Upload it to your website (usually in root, eg: www.website.com/adsense_script.html)
  3. Setup your Adsense ads as usual.
  4. In the “Show non-Google ads from another URL”box, type in the html file url.
  5. Done!

With this, the PSAs will not show up because they have been replaced with the script above. 🙂

    copy the code above and save it as html. and put it as alternate ads url when you setup your adsense code. it will replace the ads with blank space. try it.

    i will try to find out how. i hope it will not against the tos. hu3.

  6. Hi.

    Thanks for your response.

    I think that you don’t need a hack like that if all you want is to put a blank space in place of a PSA.

    You can, using the Google Adsense setup tool, configure your ads to display a solid color, and you’ll have the same effect.

    I am sorry, but perhaps because my poor English I am loosing something important, while I can’t say what I want pretty well…

  7. Removing the “Ads by Google” is easy, but it is agains the TOS.

    Create a DIV wich heigth is from 9 to 11 pixels below your ad height, and through CSS set its overflow to display no scroll bar, and place your ad inside the DIV.

    But, remember, this is against TOS, and if you do it, you are like to be banned.

    i guess if we use solid color, it will still leave blank spaces but with the code above, it will remove the ads with leave any spaces on your ads spot. i hope you understand what i mean. me too not good in english. :d

  9. thank you, very helpful. I was seeking to remove PSA
