Have you checked your website’s PR prediction? Yesterday while I was surfing around the Internet, Google PR slipped into my mind. And quickly I went to iWebtool PageRank Prediction to find out what is my PR on the next PR update.
After I entered my website URL, I click on the check button. The result is, iWebtool predicts that I will get PR6 (6.2) on the next PR update. The accuracy is 83.2% with 65 345 backlinks.
So far, iWebtool predictions are always correct. I have been using it since I got my first PR and until now I always got what it predicts. But who knows, maybe this time it has some errors in calculating the PR and give the wrong prediction. I hope it is not.

I have installed many softwares lately and was shocked when found out that my right-click context menu has many applications. Most of them are not even use. Some softwares allow you to disable the context menu from its options settings. But some of them don’t have the options and not allow you to remove the applications from the context menu.
I thought to remove the applications from the context menu requires special software. Unfortunately, I was wrong. You can do that directly from registry.
When we are talking about registry, many of us are scared because registry is the core of our system. If we messing up the registry, we are actually messing up our operating system. Therefore, please make a backup of your registry before you continue. You don’t want to reformat your PC would you?

Is it true lack of posting will decrease our website traffics? Some people say that they need to update their website everyday so the traffics will steady. Well, I can say it is 50% right and 50% it is wrong. Why?
It is true that your traffics will decrease if you don’t update your website. But this only applies to a new website. New website does not has many contents and only some of the contents win the top rank in Search Engine Result Page (SERP). Or maybe completely lost from the competition. If your website is new and you are so lazy to update your website, you need to focus on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You need to do a lot of research, implement what you found, and see how it is perform.
And it is wrong if your website is popular and well known by all people around the World (or at least people who looking for something in search engines). Some popular websites does not has new update for about a week or so but the traffics they got are stable. And even sometimes they get higher traffics. This is because many of the traffics coming from the search engines and from referral links. They have many contents and the website gets popular because of they win the keyword competition. Let say if someone search for “the grabber” a tool to download Rapidshare files (Rapidshare has changed the code so it does not work anymore), what do you expect from the result? By default, Huawei E220 can only support up to 3.6Mbps speed. In Malaysia, 3.6Mbps is the top speed that 3.5G broadband users can get. But the truth is, it is just a fantasy. No one will get that speed.

I even asked Celcom technician to do speedtest at place. Do you want to know how much speed that he got? Only 1.2Mbps. And the test was done in the morning (at low peak time). And when I asked why he only got 1.2Mbps and not 3.6Mbps or even 2Mbps? Here is what he replied,
“This is because our server can’t support so many users. If there are many users use the Internet at one time, the slowness will happen.”
Duh…what a very frustrating answer. Why don’t you guys (Celcom) use our money to upgrade the server? It is better than hearing our complaints every minutes and seconds.
But this “hack” can make it to 7.2Mbps
Ok, back to the article. How you can “hack” your Huawei E220 USB modem to make it supports up to 7.2Mbps speed? By default, Huawei E220 will only can operates at 3.6Mbps. But by doing this “hack” you can make it to operate at 7.2Mbps.

I am busy lately and really don’t have time to pay attention to my Wordpress plugin development. Recently I received many emails and complaints about the problem with my Site Statistics plugin. The plugin does not count the category correctly. It is because Wordpress is using new table structure which is it combines category and tag in the same table.
And thanks to Fabian Terh for the fix. New version has been released today. Site Statistics v1.7 is the latest version which is compatible with Wordpress v2.3 and above. If you found any problems about the plugin, feel free to contact me.
I found this effect at Neo’s blog. I don’t think it is suitable to use on my website so I use it on my personal website instead. You can see the demo at my personal blog or just visit Neo’s blog.
To setup this effect is not difficult. It only involves CSS and a shadow image. First what you need to do is download this shadow image and upload it to your theme image folder. Like in my case, I uploaded it into /images.
